Once again NCCL’s missionary friend, Father Abraha Baraki sends his thanks and his prayers from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, together with a report of the Masses he and fellow missionaries have celebrated in the traditional Ge’ez Rite for all those who have donated and requested intentions.
Here follows his letter of gratitude (e-mailed October 14, 2013), with a list of the Mass intentions and dates of their celebration:
Dear Mr. Gregory Lloyd,
Thank you so much for your help in sending the Mass stipends. $ 4,040.00 dollars, a total of 219 Masses stipends, was donated for the Masses listed below at an average stipend of 18.45 USD per gift per Mass, which I have celebrated in order of the givers’ intention.
All Mass intentions the celebrating have been completed for the requests of September 2, 2013. Theses Mass stipends are great help for me. Thank you very much for your kind cooperation, help and understanding.
Dear Gregory, October Sat 12, 2013. I have arrived to Addis Ababa in the morning from visiting my brother and the Baraki family in Washington, DC. The visit was very interesting and good visit for me. I am so happy to see Assefa in this well condition. This is all your kindly effort and struggling with God’s will. I met with all my beloved family and relatives in Washington DC. I am very happy when I got this opportunity. But I am so sorry when I didn’t meet you and your family and all my benefactors and my charitable people in your Philadelphia area. When I get this chance I hope to visit you. I hope to visit you in the other time if God’s will. My vacation this time was short.

Operation Mission Stipends [“OMS”]
The following Mass intentions are linked to the stipends transferred to Abba Abraha by bank wire on December 19, 2012. 100% of all collected stipends were delivered to the missionaries, c/o Abba Abraha.
A total of 219 Masses had been requested, each to be offered “for the intention of the giver”, according to the traditional Ge’ez Rite of the sacred Liturgy — as is the custom & condition of our requests.
