Mrs. Desta has received the surgery, is no longer in a coma, and has recovered from
the injuries to her head and arm.
Her badly injured foot, however, is more or less lame — evidently from damage to the nerves that the surgery could not repair.
Please offer your prayers in thanksgiving and in hope for Mrs. Desta’s future: her two boys depend on her for everything, naturally.
Please also remember in your prayers the charity of the good Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul in Alitena – Ethiopia, who have taken care of Mrs. Desta, and who fronted the funds for some of her medical bills and surgery until your charitable gifts (totalling $922) came to the rescue.
